Aboard the First String 07/29/2011

That's Sal above the bait tank aboard the First String. We got back from a 2-day trip and what turned out to be a long boat ride with no fish or at least for me there was no fish. Current were a little cold and there wasn't much fishing going on under the patties. we looked but no luck. additionally the ocean was a bit choppy with 15 knot winds and 3-5 foot swells. all that makes for a boring boat ride. Not much more to say about that.

Aboard the First String 09/10/2010

Tuna season has been coming late this year. I had been checking the reports and really the numbers havent been there like they should have. This year was even bad for Dorado . They just didn' catch them by the numbers like they did in the last few years. But the weather was great good day for fishing out in the big blue pacific.

DOC & AL'S ROBINSON CREEK RESORT BRIDGEPORT CA 06-06-2010

Just outside of town is a river called the East walker. Its accessible by car and only a short hike to the river. The walker  is well known for the scenery and the big brown trout that hold up in this river.  I like snapping photos so the pictures below were taken durng the 4 days we were there. The other photos were taken on the journey home.
